Sarah, Connie, Dave and I went to Hooters tonight with some friends from work (Owen was accounted for). The highlight of the evening was the following quote from Mr. Sliozis, as he addressed his girlfriend: "I'm gonna go home and drop a 'Hot D,' and then we're gonna make love." You can't teach that sort of comic genius in school, kids.

It just doesn't get much better than this.

I had to rush Sarah to the emergency room last night, as she was having some labor-like pains. All's well, just a false alarm/normal pains, but I realized as we were sitting there watching the hospital tv (after we knew that everything was ok) that between Golden Girls and Buffy, the Whedon family has been extremely generous to the Houlihan family.

Dave and I built a fence on Tuesday. After two trips to Home Depot and a case of Coors Light, Owen and Krycek can now roam free. Bryan and I are wrapping up stuff for two big client sites, and the bathroom attached to our bedroom is being re-done this week. This could be the "Summer of George," folks. I'll keep you all posted.

I've decided to start blogging again. Why? Here's a semi-long-winded answer: I started working on the web in the early 90's, and had a series of sketchy personal sites before finally getting in the blogging scene in the fall of 2000. I was pretty dedicated to it for a while, but real-life events and a general "the last thing I want to do when I get home from work is create more Internet content" attitude caused me to essentially abandon it. Well, no more! For reasons unbeknowst to me, I seem to have a second wind of sorts, and I'm going to make every effort to be faithful to this badboy. For now I'm starting from scratch, and leaving my old archives offline. Maybe I'll post them someday for nostalgia's sake. Maybe not. As for a design, I'll get to that too, time-permitting. For now, bask in the radiant glory of this MT template.
